It seems obvious that functional items like clothing and cookware have historically been embellished to make our everyday lives more comfortable and fun. Why is then that Virgin America is one of the few airlines that does the same with inflight safety videos? (That’s a rhetorical question, in case you were wondering) Enjoy the video I watched on a recent flight from San Francisco to Seattle:
Video by the Anomaly Agency in New York. My personal best experiences with Airlines have been with Emirates and Virgin America.
Last night, Queenie and I headed over to Ocean Park in Hong Kong for a night chock full of Haunted Houses, roller coasters and dancing ghosts. It was awesome. My favorite thing about the experience was this music video they shot for their 10th anniversary of Ocean Park’s Halloween. First check out the music video, then watch the making of – even if you don’t speak Cantonese. It’s so well put together, and is sure to please.
Now, the making of video. It’s also cool to see the different ghosts and characters from chinese mythology that you wouldn’t get in say, Texas.
One of the cool things about getting to hang with Chase Jarvis and his team is that they’re always working on something new and groundbreaking. The most tantalizing aspect of it is that you must respect the confidentiality agreement you sign. It’s the I-could-tell-you-but-I’ve-have-to-kill-you vibe that’s so exciting. Which is why I can sigh and I’m happy to hear the announcement of the Nikon D7000 and subsequent short film, Benevolent Mischief. Now I can show you this image and properly caption what it is that CJ Inc. was watching (and I was listening to). I knew it had to be something cool, since I heard the virtuosity of Joshua Roman and instantly recognized his cello sound. I was excited to finally see the video was shot using the same “flying chainsaw” as the SE-R Project. You’ll dig it:
Graphic Designer Laura Trimmell and myself are getting lots of blog love via two interviews. Canada-based photographer Sachin Khona asks me about my work and inspiration and Laura has a Curious Doodles Q&A over at Lottie Loves…
Here are some images going ’round the internet of us. The first I shot in Portland, Oregon of Laura during my recent trip there. The second of myself was shot by Jing Jang in Hong Kong:
